Unison of Innovation and
Environmental Protection
We are a medium-sized enterprise in the midst of the Black Forest,
surrounded by woods, rivers and lakes; therefore it is our endeavor to
conform technical innovation with the criteria of environmental
protection.
We are a technology oriented enterprise and in addition to innovation
and efficiency the environment is a supporting pillar. JULABO
considers the use of environmentally friendly materials and the
observance of internal standards to be an obligation as well as a
matter of course.
We have made it a rule to use only materials which comply with the
legal requirements of the EC “RoHS” directive. When introducing new
production processes and process technologies as well as in case of
all other investments we consider the environmental factors and rely
on renewable raw materials which guarantee an efficient energy supply.

Environmental Management System EMAS |

Already
in 2006 JULABO began to introduce its environmental management
system and to integrate it into the existing quality management.
The presentation of the EMAS certificate in spring of 2008
confirmed to JULABO the successful validation of the environmental
management system in accordance with the directive (EC) No
761/2001.
EMAS is a synonym for Eco-Management and Audit Scheme. EMAS is the
highest European award for systematic, economic environmental
management. By participating in EMAS JULABO has chosen the
demanding solution for environmental management systems and thus
simultaneously fulfils the requirements of the globally valid EN
ISO 14001 standard in its most current version.

The
environmental declaration (in German)
comprises information on environmental protection, environmental
effects and environmental policy as well as information on measures we
have realized and those we have planned; thus they become available to
the public.
